Overview

Our weight loss program combines medical supervision with behavioral and exercise counseling to help you lose weight safely and keep it off for life. The program is easy to follow and structured to avoid hunger and cravings that are typical in a regular diet.

Body Composition Analyzer

Our body composition analyzer can determine your weight, BMI (body mass index), basal metabolic rate, total body fat weight, and total body water weight. At each visit you will be reassessed with our BCA to track incremental changes in your body composition.

Counseling

Do you crave carbohydrates? Do you eat while watching TV? Our behavioral counseling helps you to change these habits so you do not regain the weight.

In addition to behavioral counseling, a customized exercise prescription is given to each patient. People start with small amounts of exercise and are coached into longer, more active workouts. With each increase in effort you will realize greater calorie burning and fat loss.

Nutritionally Complete Meal Replacement Products

We have medical grade meal replacement products (shakes and bars) that help you to restrict your caloric intake safely and avoid cravings. Unsure of the taste? A free sample will convince you that this is something you can do.

Appetite Suppressants

While our meal replacement programs generally do not need appetite suppressants, they are offered when needed. We also offer a lower cost diet that consists of appetite suppressants and a balanced calorie restricted meal plan.

Obesity Related Health Problems

People who are overweight often have other health problems which are treated with medications. As you lose weight, your medication needs will also change. At each visit you will be monitored and your medications will be adjusted as needed. The potential to lower dosages or completely stop medications is one of the great potential benefits of the program.

Maintenance

After you have lost the weight, you will be placed on a maintenance program. Follow-ups are arranged at progressivly longer intervals to monitor your transition back to a normal healthy diet. We continue to monitor your exercise and will assess any problems you have as your workouts progress.

Rate of Weight Loss

This depends on the program chosen, your individual metabolic makeup and the level of individual participation. We usually see people lose 5-10 pounds in the first 2-3 weeks. After that, your rate of weight loss is typically 1-4 pounds per week. If you start out heavier, adhere strictly to the diet, exercise regularly, and are younger in age you will tend toward the higher range of weight loss.

Cost of the program

The initial consultation is only $19. After that, the cost depends upon the program chosen. Typical prices are as follows:

Prices start at just $75 per month (~$19/week).
Our most popular program is $170 every 2 weeks ($85/week) and includes food for 2 meals per day.

Most people spend about $7 per day on food. Since many of our programs come with food, the real cost of the program is actually much less. Taking average food budgets into account, the equivalent cost of our most popular program is only about $49 per week! If you tend to eat out, eat greater quantities, or eat more junk food than the average person, then your potential savings can be much greater.

Each of the programs are an additional $60 on the first visit. Other programs are possible. If you are especially heavy or are a large man, the programs might cost more because you may need more food. Financing is available through Care Credit and we will be happy to discuss these options with you.
